Meet Jonathan Brooks
Jonathan Brooks, founder of Brooks Family Law, has dedicated his career to helping clients through some of life’s most difficult transitions. With years of experience in Arizona family law, Jonathan is known as a knowledgeable, ethical, and compassionate advocate for families statewide. He is equally committed to resolving disputes efficiently outside the courtroom whenever appropriate—leveraging preparation, negotiation, and mediation to reach durable, client-focused agreements that minimize cost, conflict, and uncertainty. When litigation is necessary, he provides strategic, determined representation to protect what matters most.

Before founding Brooks Family Law, Jonathan was a partner at a respected Arizona law firm, where he refined his skills handling complex family law cases. Prior to that, he practiced family law at another well-regarded firm, serving clients with dedication and professionalism.
Jonathan holds dual B.A. degrees in History and Political Science from Arizona State University and earned his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2010. He is a proud member of the State Bar of Arizona, the Arizona Family Law Section, the Maricopa County Bar Association (Family Law Section), the East Valley Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Recognized for his excellence, Jonathan has received multiple awards, including being named a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2016–2024) and earning an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, signifying the highest level of professional ethics and legal ability.
Committed to Community
Jonathan’s commitment to family extends beyond the courtroom. He has strong ties to the community and dedicates his time to organizations that make a difference. He proudly serves as Board Chairman of Scottsdale Training and Rehabilitation Services (STARS), a nonprofit organization that improves the lives of individuals with developmental and cognitive disabilities. He also volunteers with programs such as the Volunteer Lawyers Program, Wills for Heroes, and the Paiute Neighborhood Legal Clinic, providing legal services to those who need it most.
